Gloversville prevailed over Hudson Falls 56-37 in a hard fought (518) hoop tug-of-war . Kendra Lavery and Harmony Philo combined to score 42 points for the Lady Dragons.
Gloversville finished the game with clutch play as they outscored Hudson Falls by 8-points at the critical stage of the game.
The Lady Dragons used an impressive first eight minutes and started the game in style racing to a hefty first quarter lead 15-8.
The opening two quarters were ultra competitive as the teams went to the first half locker room break with Gloversville gaining the upper hand. However, Gloversville took advantage of a strong third quarter and took a 43-32 lead into the fourth quarter.
Gloversville used a tough hard-nosed effort in the third quarter and outscored Hudson Falls by 7 points.
The Lady Dragons were in front at every quarter buzzer by margins of 7, 4, 11, & 19.
Gloversville placed three players in double figure scoring. Kendra Lavery led Gloversville with 22 points. Harmony Philo powered in 20 points. Daley Jo Christman collected 10 points.
The Lady Dragons shot excellent from the charity stripe as they made 72.4%, 21 of 29.
Brinley Inglee paced Hudson Falls with 16 points. Madison Phillips poured in 7 points. Mikayla Varney had 7 points.
Hudson Falls knocked down 6 buckets from jimmer range.
