Boys Basketball Summary

Berlin-27 @ Hoosick Falls-58

Hoosick Falls jumped out to a 42-13 halftime lead on the strength of 18 first half points by sophomore Ryan Sparks, and cruised to the WASAREN League win over Berlin.

Sparks finished with 18 points, while seniors Carson Glover (13 points) and Aiden Fleming (11 points) also hit for double figures. Hoosick Falls is now 7-1 in the league and 11-1 overall. They travel to Duanesburg tommorrow for a non-league matchup at 5:30.

Warrensburg beat Salem on Friday night 54-13 in Adirondack League Girls Basketball. Warrensburg got off to a quick start and were leading 22-2 after the first quarter. With the win, Warrensburg improves to 3-2, 7-5.

Leading Warrensburg was Zailey Baker with a great all-around game, finishing with 16 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists, and 6 steals. Elli York finished with 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 steals. Caitlin O'Donnell finished with 8 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 steals.

Riley Gallagher led Salem with 6 points.

Warrensburg travelled to Schroon Lake on Friday for a NL girls Varsity game. In a back and forth battle, Warrensburg prevailed 52-48 over Schroon Lake, who came into the game ranked 4th in Class D in New York State. Elli York led Warrensburg with 29 points, including 10 in the deciding 4th quarter. Avah Fiorentino had 11 points for the Lady Burghers and Caitlin O'Donnell finished with 16 rebounds.
