Hudson escaped with a victory over Catskill 52-41 in a hard fought Patroon Conference cage match . Make no mistake about it, this game was closer than the final score may indicate. Daja Beaufort played like a video game cheat code for the Bluehawks leading the way with 28 points. 

Hudson success was built on their tenacious second half play as they led at the end of the third period and at the last buzzer.

The Bluehawks held a slim 4-point margin at the start of the fourth quarter. This duel was a war on the floor through the third period.

Hudson concluded the tilt with authority as they went past the Cats by 7-points at the pivotal moment of truth.

The Cats were strong out of the gate and darted in front to gain a nice first quarter lead 14-5. They put together an imposing defense and took control of the period. Yet, Hudson regrouped in the second quarter and outscored Catskill by 13 points.

The opening two quarters were ultra competitive as the teams went to the first half stoppage with Hudson nosing in front. The Bluehawks performed effectively in the second period turning a 9-point first quarter deficit into a 4-point halftime advantage.

Daja Beaufort led the Bluehawks with 28 points. Shayna Coopersmith secured 7 points. Katie Jepsen poured in 6 points.

Janay Brantley paced the Cats with 26 points. Hannah Konsul collected 6 points.
The Cats connected on 6 baskets from downtown.
Janay Brantley made 4 three-pointers.
