Glens Falls beats Amsterdam 74-68 on a night where Joseph Girard III breaks the NY State Boys career scoring record.

-Glens Falls closed out the 1Q on a 8-0 run to take a 17-11 lead.

 

-After a Glens Falls three pointer by Joseph Girard III with 5 minutes left in the 2Q the Indians open up a double digit lead of 28-18. Amsterdam fights back and cuts the deficit to 4 (34-30) at the break.

 

-Amsterdam's Osvauldo DeJesus goes on his own 6-0 run to start the 3Q and gives the Rams their 1st lead since the 1Q (36-34). Glens Falls immediately responds with 2 quick buckets by Joseph Girard III to regain the lead and take a 48-41 lead into the final quarter.

At the 1:40 mark, left in the game, Joseph Girard III was fouled with the Indians up 4 and with a chance to break the all-time NY State Boys Basketball scoring record with his next point scored. Girard knocked down both free throws to break the record and put the Indians up by 6.
