Ravena slipped past Cobleskill 43-39 in a Colonial Council game that would come down to the final seconds.
Ravena held a slight 3-point advantage at the start of the fourth quarter. The Indians stretched their lead out to seven points, 38-31, with three minutes left in the contest after a Lauryn Reville bucket.
Cobleskill fought back and cut the lead to two points, 41-39, with thirteen seconds left in the contest. After a timeout the Bulldogs had a chance to tie or win the game in regulation but were unable to get a shot off before fouling Grace Engel of Ravena. Engel nailed both free throws with seven seconds left to ice the game.
The contest was a toss up as the teams went to the first half locker room break with Ravena out in front by two.
Both teams struggled to score the ball coming out of the locker room after the half as they combined for just 11 points in the third quarter.
The Indians were on top at every quarter buzzer by margins of 5, 2, 3, & 4. They never trailed during the game.
Lauren Sanderson paced the Indians with 15 points. Hannah VanDerzee contributed 9 points. Chesnie Waddingham totaled 8 points. Sara Hotaling with 5 points.
Sabrina Pressley led the Bulldogs with 19 points. Eleesia Comino registered 10 points. Jessica Meade poured in 8 points.
