Broadalbin-Perth slipped past Schalmont 48-45 in a contest that most local experts thought would end with the culmination of two well coached teams clawing for every point. The game lived up to the pre-game expectation. Mariano DiCaterino was a serious problem on the offensive end for the Patriots stepping up big-time with 21 points. DiCaterino nailed the game winning three pointer with 2.5 seconds left to seal the win.
The Patriots went off in a crunch time rally as they eclipsed the Sabres 22-11 by the conclusion of the frame. That burst enabled them to celebrate the outcome.
