Shenendehowa pulled away in the fourth quarter to knock off a resilient Averill Park squad 66-50 in Suburban Council action. The Warriors were playing without two outstanding players Michelina Lombardi and Taylor Holohan but continued to battle throughout the contest. Kaleigh Montanez and Jillian Huerter combined to score 39 points for the victors.

The Plainsmen ended the game with clutch play as they got the better of Averill Park by 10-points in the fourth quarter. Kaleigh Montanez played a huge role on the offensive end in the late game run as she nailed a three pointer right before the third quarter buzzer and she made Shen's first three baskets of the final frame. Montanez outscored the Warriors 9-2 give the Plainsmen the cushion they needed to expand their lead.

Shenendehowa were charged up from the opening whistle and sprinted out to a nice first quarter lead 15-6. They put together an imposing effort guarding the hoop and were in command during the frame.

Averill Park trailed 32-21 at the half. The Warriors made a nice run during the middle of the second quarter to cut their double digit deficit to four points, 21-17, but Shenendehowa closed the quarter strong.

The Warriors played with purpose in the third quarter and outscored Shenendehowa by 5 points. They got as close as one point 39-38 after a Bailee Lange three pointer late in the frame.

The Plainsmen were in command at all period closing whistle by separations of 9, 11, 6, & 16.

Shenendehowa placed three players in double figure scoring. Kaleigh Montanez showed the way for the Plainsmen with 21 points. Jillian Huerter poured in 18 points. Bri Carey scored 16 points.

Bri Carey made 4 three-pointers. Kaleigh Montanez added 3.
The Plainsmen shot 83.3%, 10 of 12 from the line.

Amelia Wood sparked the offense for Averill Park with 22 points. Bailee Lange got in the book with 13 points. Arianna Verardi finished with 6 points.
Averill Park used expert marksmanship to make 4 baskets from behind the three point line.
