Averill Park’s Arianna Verardi scored her 1,000th career point early in the first quarter as the Warriors defeated Shenendehowa 62-49 in a late-season matchup. Verardi finished with a 20 points. She was supported by Lillian Wohlleber, who tallied 21 points, and Elizabeth Hansen, who added 12. Averill Park controlled the game in the opening frame, racing out to an 18-9 lead in the first quarter, led 37-24 at the half, and maintained their advantage throughout. The Warriors finished the regular season with a 12-8 record.
Shenendehowa’s Gianna Winter led the home team with 20 points, while Kailey Weber knocked down three three-pointers to finish with nine. Kate Milham added 8 points. The Plainsmen finished the regular season at 14-6.
