Boys: 2/28/25 Maple Hill vs North Warren

North Warren used a strong fourth quarter to edge Maple Hill 54-49 in a hard-fought Class C sectional matchup at Hudson Valley Community College. The Cougars advance to face the top seed Berne Knox at Cool Insuring Arena on 3/3 at 6:30 pm.

The game remained tight throughout with a margin no bigger than six points either way the whole game. The opening quarter ended with both teams locked at 11. North Warren took a slight 25-23 advantage into halftime and held off a late push from Maple Hill by outscoring them 19-15 in the final period.

North Warren's Semaj Cuyler was the difference-maker, delivering a game-high 29 points, Brodie Rooker contributed 11 points, while Coleman Swartz added eight.

Maple Hill was led by Nick Novak with 15 points, followed by Austin Prest with 13. Dean Chevrier added 10 points in the loss.
