In a wild finish, Shaker secured a hard-fought 59-56 victory over Shenendehowa to punch their ticket to Monday night's Class AAA Final vs. Colonie at HVCC, 7:45 pm. The Blue Bison held off a furious fourth-quarter comeback by the Plainsmen to grab the win in an overtime battle between these Suburban Council teams.

Shaker controlled much of the game early, taking a 14-10 lead after the first quarter and holding Shenendehowa to just six points in the third as they held a 32-24 lead heading into the final frame. However, Shenendehowa erupted in the fourth quarter, scoring 27 points to force the extra session as they erased a double digit deficit in the period. Despite the late surge, Shaker found a way to regroup and outscored Shenendehowa 8-5 in the extra period to clinch the victory.

Malia Jackson was great on both ends of the floor as she led Shaker’s offense with a dominant 28-point performance, while Sofia Lanni contributed 11 points, Jayla Geter 8 points
