Shaker secured a 68-53 victory over Bishop Ludden, punching their ticket to the NYSPHSAA Class AAA Final Four. Shaker use a dominant second quarter to seize control and hold off any hopes of a Bishop Ludden comeback. The Blue Bison now face Newburgh Free Academy on 3/20 at 6 pm in Binghamton.
The contest began evenly, with both teams locked at 16 points apiece after the first quarter. However, Shaker took command in the second quarter, outscoring Bishop Ludden 23-13 to carry a ten-point lead into halftime. Shaker continued to press its advantage in the third, extending the lead with an 18-point effort before closing out the game with steady play in the final frame.
Shaker’s offensive attack was balanced, with multiple players stepping up. Bless Demand led the way with 16 points, including two three-pointers, while Melvin Brown added 14 points. Tye Mariano was lethal from beyond the arc, knocking down five three-pointers for 15 points. Marcelin Mukendi also had a strong showing, contributing 12 points, including three from deep.
Bishop Ludden was led by Jahzar Greene, who poured in a game-high 18 points, going a perfect 8-for-8 from the free-throw line. Liam Sheard added 17 points, while Joe Dunham contributed eight.









Liverpool hung on for a 73-65 overtime victory over Colonie in the Class AAA regional final at SRC Arena on Saturday afternoon. The win propels Liverpool (20-3) to the state semifinals.
Colonie (17-6) started in front, holding a narrow 15-14 lead after the first quarter. Liverpool responded with a strong second quarter, outscoring the Raiders 20-14 to take a five-point lead into halftime. Liverpool held a one point lead heading into the fourth quarter. In the extra period, Liverpool took control, outscoring Colonie 14-6 to secure the victory.
Liverpool's Gianna Washington delivered 22 points. Gia Kinsey also stepped up in a big way, draining five three-pointers on her way to a 21-point performance. Abriyah Cunningham chipped in 10 points, helping the Warriors hold off Colonie’s attack.
For Colonie, Ella Trimarchi poured in 26 points. Aliyah Pearson also had a standout performance, scoring 19 points with five made threes, while Gianna Lake added 10 points. Olivia Hoffman contributed seven points, all from the free-throw line.
