Albany Academy took care of business versus Watervliet 76-28 in Class B sectional action. The top seeded Bears move on to the semi-final round against Stillwater on 2/25 at HVCC.
Albany Academy were assertive second half as they pulled away for the decisive win.
The Bears bolted from opening whistle and darted in front to gain a generous first quarter lead 31-7.
The Cannoneers lagged behind 43-21 at the half.
Albany Academy were in command at all period ending horn by splits of (+) 24, 22, 36, & 48.
The Bears had three shooting stars in double figure scoring. Alex Leonard paced the Bears with 17 points. Morgan Vien chipped in 14 points. Bella Vincent totaled 11 points.
Albany Academy splashed 10 buckets from beyond the arc.
Morgan Vien made 4 three-pointers.
The Bears shot with skillful form at the stripe as they achieved 70.6%, 12 of 17.
